All automation work – from ventilation (cooling), heat recovery from compressors, climate control systems, lighting in both the production and administration areas – was carried out by Elteros projektai UAB at the SBA Industrial Innovation Valley. Currently, around 120 controlled skylights provide fresh indoor air, while heat is provided by heat pumps without notable environmental impact. The products from Schneider electric were used in the facility.

“We have successfully started and, likewise, successfully completed the process control and automation work in the modern and fully automated furniture components factory Laminn, Klaipėda, in the SBA Industrial Innovation Valley. The customer for the project has its own set of standardised specifications for every engineering component. The system had to be flexible, intuitive and easy to use, even for the inexperienced user. Naturally, everything has to function as intended, adds Mr. Mikalajnas. “Our key priorities were system security, alarms, and energy conservation.”

The devices designed on the site according to the development director of Elteros Projektai UAB, aid in capturing and saving power. By choosing the right settings, a timer or an illuminance sensor may regulate outside lighting, conserving energy on the building's external lights. The building control system may be accessible via a website, and all data is kept in the webserver's memory so that the parameters can be controlled or watched from any location in the globe.

The director emphasises that the contractors had to meet the most stringent requirements of the BREEAM rating method in addition to being user-friendly, ecologically friendly, and practical.
